Description of Sage Business Solutions Add-on Product Purchase Policy
Sales of Sage products to existing customers will only be available to customers enrolled in a Software Assurance maintenance program. This policy protects customers from potential mixed version compatibility issues that may occur if a customer is not on the latest released version prior to their purchase of additional Sage products. This policy is aligned with similar practices followed across the broader Sage business.
Products included in Add-on Product Purchase Policy
Software Assurance enrolment will be a prerequisite for purchasing any of the following Sage products:
Sage ERP Accpac
- Version upgrades
- Edition upgrades — 100 Edition to 500 Edition; 100 Edition to 200 Edition; 200 Edition to 500 Edition
- Sage ERP Accpac Database Server and user licenses (Microsoft SQL & Pervasive)
- Any Sage ERP Accpac modules
- Sage ERP Accpac LanPaks (additional user licenses)
Sage ERP X3
- Version upgrades
- Sage ERP X3 Database Server and user licenses (Microsoft SQL & Oracle)
- Any Sage ERP X3 modules — Accounting, Manufacturing, XTEND, Distribution, Warehouse Management, Languages, Platform, Crystal Reports, Business Objects runtime etc
- Sage ERP X3 User licenses — Professional, Client Web Services, Account Web Services etc
Sage CRM
- Version upgrades
- Edition upgrades — 100 Edition to 200 Edition

Effect of enrolment in Software Assurance
Subscribing to Software Assurance will ensure customers continue to have access to the latest Sage features for their entire product set, including any new products they purchase. Customers who remain current on their Software Assurance program are eligible to receive all product updates and version upgrades during their enrolment period, maximising their Sage investment. Without a current Software Assurance plan, customers will not have access to such features nor other Sage products.
Description of Sage Business Solutions PSG Support Policy
Effective 1 October 2009, PSG support conducted by Sage Business Solutions to Business Partners on behalf of a customer, will only be available where the customer is current on Software Assurance. The policy change will ensure that a high level of PSG support service is maintained. Additionally, this policy change aligns the support practices with similar practices followed across the broader Sage business.
This policy will be applied to customers who use any of the following product sets within the Sage Business Solutions portfolio:
- Sage ERP Accpac
- Sage CRM
- Sage SalesLogix
- Sage Timberline
- Sage ERP X3
- Sage Pro ERP
Partner obligation
As an extension of the policy, Partners are required to adhere to the following conditions:
- The Partner accessing PSG Support MUST be the Partner of record.
- The Partner must always produce the Customer Name upon request for support.
- The Partner must always to produce the Customer ID upon request for support.
